Wabaseemoong Independent Nations Chief and Council would like to invite community members to this event. Grand Council Treaty #3 will be in the community to provide a presentation on Manito Aki Inakonigaawin (MAI) – the Great Earth Law.
Manito Aki Inakonigaawin reflects Anishinaabe law, teachings and responsibilities to respect, care for and protect the land, water and all of creation. It has guided the Anishinaabe Nation in Treaty #3 since time immemorial and was formally written and ratified by Treaty #3 Elders in 1997.
Community members are encouraged to attend, learn more about MAI and its importance to our lands, rights and responsibilities.
