Wabaseemoong Social Services is seeking motivated and dependable individuals who are interested in gaining valuable work experience while contributing to our community. The Employment Experience Program provides participants with an opportunity to develop skills, gain hands-on experience, and enhance future employment opportunities.

Available Positions

Security Workers (3 Positions)

  • Monitor assigned facilities and grounds.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment.
  • Report safety concerns and incidents.

Maintenance Workers (2 Positions)

  • Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
  • Complete minor repairs and routine upkeep.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.

Brush Cutter / Maintenance Worker (1 Position)

  • Operate brush-cutting equipment to maintain community properties.
  • Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance duties.
  • Ensure outdoor areas remain clean, safe, and well maintained.

Filing Clerk – Wabaseemoong Social Services Office (1 Position)

  • Organize and maintain confidential files and records.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and document management.
  • Provide general administrative support to office staff.

Renovation Workers (3 Positions)

  • Assist with renovation and improvement projects.
  • Perform demolition, painting, carpentry, and general labour duties as assigned.
  • Work safely as part of a team to complete community projects.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for the Ontario Works Employment Experience Program.
  • Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to perform physical duties where required.
