Ontario announces Province-wide lock-down but this DOES NOT include inside Wabaseemoong Independent Nations Boundaries
The Ontario government announced the lock-down will begin at 12:01 a.m. on December 26, 2020 and will last for 28 days in the southern portions of the province (south of Sudbury) and 14 days in the northern parts. However Wabaseemoong Independent Nations (WIN), within its boundaries, will be exempt.
What does this lock-down mean?
When outside of WIN boundaries, all non-essential stores in Ontario will be ordered to close, this includes all in-door dining rooms and limits gatherings. Essential service stores will still be open, such as grocery stores, pharmacies, hardware stores and auto stores.
When does this lock-down happen?
December 26, 2020
How long will this province-wide lock-down be in place?
4 weeks for Southern Ontario and two weeks for Northern Ontario.
Please Note: Out of province travel is still not recommended for WIN Citizens. Please continue to remain in your household “bubbles”, washing your hands, wearing a mask and physical distancing.
