Job overview:
The Wabaseemoong Child & Youth Wellness Program is seeking an experienced custodian to clean and maintain the Youth Centre premises. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. This position will be from Sunday to Thursday evenings from 8pm to 11pm. Wages will be discussed at time of interview.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Waste management: taking out trash to the designated dumping site
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Must work closely with administration
- Other duties may be added by supervisor within reasonable guild lines and considerations.
- Confidentiality – Employees shall keep confidential any and all information they acquire during the course of employment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent skills demonstrated in a previous work experience
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Experience in custodian work
- Must provide a current vulnerable sector-check
