TIP FOR MANAGING YOUR CHILD’S STRESS/ANXIETY:

Stress and anxiety are hard for children and affects learning, health, and development. Anxiety can show up in different ways for children – especially when going back to school.

WATCH FOR:

  • Recurring stomach aches or headaches
  • Trouble falling asleep or disrupted sleep
  • Feeling tired even after enough sleep
  • Increased clinginess or difficulty separating
  • Irritability or big reactions to small things
  • Pulling away from friends or favourite activities
  • Difficulty concentrating or a sudden drop in grades
  • Returning to younger behaviours, such as thumb-sucking or bedwetting
