Position: Janitor/Custodian
Location: WIN Band Administration Building
Hours of work: 70 Hrs biweekly Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 4:00pm
Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time, reliable and detail-oriented Janitor/Custodian to join our team. Reporting to and under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas and will include responsibilities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine cleaning duties, ensuring that the building is kept in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize designated areas
- Sweep, mop yard and building maintenance
- Clean and sanitize rest rooms
- Set up and clean employees’ workspace
- Dust and wipe surfaces
- Empty trash bins and replace liners
- Restock cleaning supplies as needed
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repair
- Co-operate with other staff
- Follow all Health and Safety Regulations
- Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor or facility manager.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and workload
- Prior cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift/or move up to 50lbs
